Abstract

e-Workplaceis a highly scalable, easy expandable, secure and customized solution for Military College Jhelum (MCJ). Once deployed it will be used to manage all kinds documents used in MCJ. Users will be able to create new documents based on specified templates used by the armed forces of Pakistan, can add comments and suggestions on documents, and can restrict access for specific users or groups. Daily-received letters will be scanned and dispatched to appropriate branches or appointments. This way it will be easy to manage the work progress in a MCJ environment and can be used as a collaboration application that can be expanded with optional chat, messaging or calendar functionality. It will be designed for sharing information or data. Files, pictures or data can be uploaded to be shared among various groups and users. The access can be restricted individually or on the basis of use branches groups, and in order to protect content even, users can reserve it for exclusive use. Other users or group members cannot add, modify or delete content or detail information and if the permissions are set to 'no permissions'. e- Workplace will provide hierarchical documents organization and content for branches and appointments to share information with added comments. Some of the extra features are security. The application can be password secured and with a specified time out
