Abstract:
With the advancement in the computing technique the subject modeling and simulation emerged as a most fascinating and the state of act technology. Modeling and simulating any physical system before physical design is very effective in term of accuracy and precision. It not only helps engineers to model the machine under consideration but to test the equipment under harsh environment. The need of simulating W~.!aponry Systems like Missile Simulation reduces loss at great extent in case of malrunctioning. It also permits the designer to build and fly a missile using a computer. Numl.!rous design changes and flight environments can be investigated by using this simulation and thereby avoiding the expense of building, testing, and redesigning actual hardware. This modeling capability dramatically decreases the cost ~nd time required to develop a missile. The simulation then combines these design specific models in order to represent an integrated Missile System in flight and to confirm its design capabilities before actual flight testing. This modeling approach eliminates much of the need for expensive iterative flight testing. Missile Simulation Software is the simulation of surface to surface missile 'flight path and all other related parameters during flight like velocity, acceleration, drag forces, pressure effects etc. This software simulates different type of Missile trajectories, like Short Range Boost Glide Trajectories and Long Range Ballistic Trajectories. Calculations are performed for different phases of trajectory like Boost Phase and Glide Phase. Self calculation of target is another feather that performs certain iterations until desired target is calculated. This feature controls Missile direction during flight toward target. All parameters are calculated a(ter each interval. Map digitizing is another module that calculates and shows longitude and latitude of each location on the map. This module calculates distance between two desired locations. One of the main features of this module is that user can select the launching and hitting point just by clicking on the map. Views module shows different views of missile during flight and shows current coordinates of the trajectory. Graph module shows the comparison between different parameters during flight.
