Connector Live

Abstract

The "Connector Live" is a product, which connects the chain of offices geologically located at different locations for transfer of audio, video and text conferencing. This software will be used for corporate meeting and training purposes. Audio, Video and text chat conferencing will be implemented using UDP protocol. The users of Connector Live are host and participant. The responsibilities of host include modifying the privileges of participants in the ongoing sessions. The participants in the application are with the least privileges. They may participate by providing some feed back or present some material only if authorized by the host. There will be a registration procedure, which will create user accounts (host/participants). There will be a session entity where all the interactive exchange of multimedia information will take place. During the session the users can interact using Video conferencing, Voice conferencing, Public and private chat conferencing, Web browsing, public message board, Shared whiteboard features. During Video conferencing The Host in a given session will be able to broadcast a web cam stream that all Participants will be able to see. In Voice conferencing the sound will be broadcasted from any user to all other users. The Text Chat board is used for text chatting. In The web board facility all the participants will be able to view the web page displayed in the web board. The Message Board is used for posting messages The White Board is used to display and share images and power point slides.
