dc.description.abstract Identity verification systems are an important par1 of every day life. Traditional identification systems that involve the use of passwords or cards have chances of lost or stolen. Thus new verification methods have emerged, where the password has either been replaced by, or used in addition to, biometrics such as the person's speech, face image or fingerprints. This project is based on the face recognition system for security purposes. Face recognition is a new and emerging field that takes special attention of researchers from all over the world. Results of face recognition systems are highly affected by certain factors like illumination, image capturing, and many more. However, best achievable algorithms and implementation tools have been selected for maximum possible results. The most efficient algorithm that is Principal Component Analysis mostly used all over the world was selected for implementation. Besides this, latest tool for implementation that is C# is used in order to achieve maximum robustness in results. en_US
