dc.description.abstract Our everyday life is becoming more and more dependent on computers and computer networks. Very often sensitive data needs to be transfected from one place to the other. This requires that data must be secured. To test the security, continuous analysis of cryptographic algorithm being used must be earned out. This research is aimed at the study of breaking Data Encryption Standard (DES) Algorithm, which remained a standard for many years and has been widely used. Since Brute Force Attack can only break DES, thus it was important to build a powerful computing system, which could take up this arduous task and hence came into existence the Bahrian Super Computing Cluster at Integrated Scientific & Industrial Software (ISIS) Lab, BIMCS. en_US
