| dc.description.abstract | This Project, Computational Security System relates to the field of Data Encryption and Networks. This project is specially designed with providing security services to a user, using insecure channels e.g. telephone lines or internet to communicate or send and receive files with other users at the other end of the insecure channel. The services include encryption and decryption of text and audio files using cryptographic algorithms namely Twofish and the AES winner Rijndael. Two fish is also a AES (Advance Encryption Standard) algorithm. The user would only have to provide the encryption and decryption keys and specify the text files. In case of Audio files the application would the encryption and decryption would be real time i.e. the user speaks in microphone and the voice will be recorded and encrypted and the same time. The user would only have to provide the key before using any applications utility. Same is the case with decryption the encrypted audio file would be played and decrypted simultaneously. Then user would select the file to transmit it and the application would send it over the network. This system is based on the concept of VPN (Virtual Private Networks) on networks part and the concept of computational security, in the field of cryptography. Computational security simply- means that providing security by using the power of mathematics and heavy computations. Finally summarizing, this project is aimed at securing information by using an insecure channel along with cryptographic techniques. The cryptosystem developed in this project will provide computational security and could be used with full confidence. | en_US |
