Abstract

Aim of this project was to develop a general purpose web portal that provides a centralized place for users to share different types of information by different means. It provides online user interaction through discussion forums. Users can post different topics, and other user can answer to the topics. News section provides latest news which is retrieved from different News Agencies on the internet. Article section provides the facility to view writings and ideas of different writers about different categories. Download section provides latest software available for download. Classified section provides users to post their advertisement free, and to browse the advertisement according to their interest. Links section provides web links in different categories. We have tried to provide a user friendly and easy administration module, which is intended for web master to manage the portal in an easy way. Domain of a web portal can be very wide, but we have tried our best to make it general and useful for the users.
