Online Booking of Khyber Steam Safari.

Abstract

In the recent years tourism has emerged as a full fledge industry. The Tourism industry is an exciting, dynamic, global industry, which is constantly changing and growing fast. In the recent years computer has emerged as a necessity in almost every field of life and tourism industry is no exception. There are many web sites on Internet that are providing information to the tourists. So it can be said that computer is playing a vital role in the promotion of tourism. Pakistan is the country composed of towering peaks, cosmic deserts, beautiful lakes and a beautiful blend of art, history and culture. Simple to say tourists have a lot to enjoy in Pakistan. The only thing is to promote our tourism industry. Sharai Travels along with PTDC is taking initiative to promote tourism. Khyber Steam Safari is an example. The Khyber Steam Safari has been incarnated from the ashes of Khyber Railways and within a short span it has not only gained momentum but International recognition as well. Khyber Steam Safari is a tourist train running between Peshawar and Landi Kotal. The purpose of this project is to develop an online booking system for Khyber Steam Safari. In this project a web site is developed to facilitate the tourists interested in the safari. There is a form to be filled in by the customers for the booking purpose. At the administrative end, the administrator will reserve a seat for that customer. Tools .used for the development of this project are SQL Server, HTML and ASP and Jscript.
