Abstract:
Our intention is to construct a World Wide Web based store of books, CDs and magazines. It is shall be an on-line· WWW based information system from where users can select books and .CDs of their choice and then order them. To achieve that end we shall provide theE-Commerce facility to users. The books and COs may be searched on the basis of author, publisher, ISBN number, etc. The front end of our application shall be in Java. The web site shall contain Java applets. The search engines and ordering forms shall be available to on-line external users. The middle ware will be composed of JDBC. The back end shall be a WWW based database in Oracle. This database will be the heart of the application, as it will contain all the information about CDs, books and magazines
