dc.description.abstract “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle” and so the technology advancement which proved to be a miracle of the miracles. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is one such miracle of the micro-electronic, wireless communication and wireless networks which opens up the new dimensions for the researchers i.e. ubiquitous computing. Ubiquitous computing, the mother of all modern computing systems, opens new research eras in wireless sensor network, mobile computing, distributed computing, human computer interaction, agent technologies and autonomic computing .The spatially distributed, tiny, autonomous, low powered motes endowed with sensing, computation and wireless communication capabilities in wireless sensor network provide endless opportunities with respect to its applications. Comprehensive literature reviews has revealed that stringent constraint factors of energy supply, computing power, and bandwidth cause frequent and unpredictable changes in WSN. The road towards the bio inspired algorithms satisfies the end user through quality of service by responding the situations in a computationally efficient way. The focus of our research topic resides on the routing protocols which are energy and computationally efficient inspired by nature in Computational Intelligent (CI) paradigms. Ant colony optimization helps to focus on the routing issues in wireless sensor network. EASARA (Energy Aware Simple Ant Routing Algorithm) is also one such approach which helps to increase the life time of the network. We have compared the EASARA with SARA (Simple Ant Routing Algorithm) using the performance parameters such as transmitted packets per node, received packets per node, total no of packets per node, energy consumption per node energy consumption per selected path and energy consumption of the total network. EASARA outperforms SARA algorithm in these above mention performance parameters en_US
