| dc.description.abstract | Research has found that the chances of cognitive impairment increase with age. In some cases, cognitive imparities can also be found, in young people. These impairments have a chance, later on, to develop into brain disorders. However, studies have shown solving puzzles does have a positive effect on the person’s cognition abilities and can delay/slow down these imparities. Cognitive Coach, which is a mobile application developed for the Android platform, provides the user with various puzzles to be solve in order to improve their cognitive abilities. This application also gives a progress report to track how well the user is performing while solving puzzles through puzzle scores and time records. Puzzles would have different difficulties based on the user’s performance. The purpose of this application is to help people (mainly elderly people) who suffer from cognitive impairment. The development of the application is done on the Unity Game Engine, with C# Programming language on Visual Studio. A cloud host database is used to store the user’s scores along with their personal information. Server scripting language, PHP is used to retrieve, insert and update user data on the host database | en_US |
