Abstract:
With the growing issue of environmental preservation, businesses are increasingly focusing on sustainable business strategies. As a result, employee green activities such as environmental does make a significance contribution to environmental preservation. As a result, it is critical to investigate how businesses, such as the banking sector, can encourage employees to engage in green or eco-innovation to address environmental issues. The current study looked at elements that could be possible predictors of employee eco-innovation for this reason. Green transformational leadership, which was the subject of this study, is an essential contributor to employee eco-innovation. Furthermore, our research confirmed the primary instrument that linked the transformational leadership, and role of employees and their behavior towards green work place. Based on social characteristics and cultural exchange theory, hypotheses were proposed. Convenient sampling was used to obtain data from employees of corporate and government banks in Islamabad region. The good influence of GTLSHP on Eco-Innovation was confirmed by the findings. Furthermore, the data revealed that EVGB has a strong mediating effect on the connection between GTLSHP and Eco Innovation. These findings have significant consequences for academics as well as bank executives.
