Abstract:
Leaders set ethical standards that increase employee performance and reduce organizational politics. This study was intended to explore how ethical leadership impact work performance with mediating role or perceived organizational politics and moderating role of political skills. This study was based on cross sectional correlational research design and data were collected from call centers employees (N= 202) through self-report questionnaires. Findings show that leadership handling matters in an ethical way enhances the work performance of the employees. Finding also revealed that perceived organizational politics has significant mediating role in relationship between ethical leadership and work performance. Meanwhile, political skills also found to be significant moderator for ethical leadership and work performance. Findings of this study will contribute by identifying the positive outcome of ethical leadership styles in telecom centers by giving empirical evidences. This study tries to scrutinize the idea of ethical leadership, the features of an ethical leader, ethical leadership and its influence on employee job performance, and how organizations can progress leaders that are not only complete in atmosphere but also wide-ranging in action.
