dc.description.abstract | Purpose This research intends to examine the quality-incorporation ofthe SC that affect GSCM initiatives and performance ofthe environment (EA) in the SMEs sector of Karachi, Pakistan. Particularly, supplier and customer quality-incorporation contribute to the adoption of green procurement and green cooperation of customers that jointly offer solutions to support environmental problems. These practices indulge as emerging forces that contribute to the facets of quality management and green management. Design/Methodology/Approach The study decided to opt for an explanatory research approach for investigating the impact ofthe examined variable and to assess the scope of the theoretical structure and research hypothesis/questions, the quantitative method was utilized. The model is then empirically validated by using the data obtained from 350 SME respondents in Karachi Pakistan through Electronic-mail formal survey. Findings This study results indicate the quality incorporation of supplier and customers that positively effect on the implementation of green purchases and green customer cooperation and they both consequently improve environmental efficiency. The findings also reveal that quality integration of suppliers and customers directly impacts the Activities of an environment (EA), deprived of purchasing green and green cooperation of the customers. Therefore, the results provide understandings ofthe processes by which SCQI affects the performance ofthe environment, and explain the dynamic links among (SCQI) and (GSCM), adding to literature as well as practices ofmanaging the quality and green management. Limitations The research design was focused on survey-based and had used convenience sampling, with a specific emphasis on the Small and Medium-sized industry in Karachi, Pakistan. Since there is a lack of prior research conducted on GSCM, specifically in terms of quality and concerns of the environment as it is a recent entrant to SMEs so it was quite challenging to communicate with the relevant respondents and to take acceptable responses in such a short time, thus limiting the sample size | en_US |
