dc.description.abstract The objective of the study is to examine the role of students’ perceived stress on academic performance in the business schools of Karachi, Pakistan. The quantitative approach has been adopted for data collection and 384 sample responses have been gathered from the University students. The PLS-SEM analysis technique has been used for data analysis. The results have identified that academic load has a positive and significant effect on perceived stress. The financial constraints have a positive and significant effect on perceived stress. The perceived stress has a negative and significant effect on academic performance. The social support has negative and signihcarst effect on perceived stress. The time management has a negative but insignificant effect on perceived stress. Additionally, in this study, the factors which cause stress to the students in the university life are discussed. Keeping in focus this study, the practitioners should try to adopt the practices which can reduce the level ofstress for students so that they can give better performance in the academics and can get better results. Financial constraint is considered one ofthe biggest reasons that contribute for the stress ofstudents. To reduce this constraint the instalment fees structure should be introduced or the students should be offered with scholarships and some criteria should be set for scholarships so that the students can avail it easily en_US
