As the war on terror in Afghanistan has been a dominant concern of U.S government after the 9/11 incident. Donald Trump was adamant about overhauling US foreign policy and putting 'America First.' According to which United States has faced the loss at both financial and mass level and don’t want to spend their resources on war anymore. United States accepted that Taliban are the dominant and the most influential political actors in Afghanistan, and this war can be concluded only when Taliban will be ready to end this war. This approach towards Taliban was the cause behind the initiation of peace talks between United States and Afghanistan. This Research is based on descriptive-explanatory method. The aim to conduct this research was to analyze President Trump’s policy towards Taliban who targeted U.S and used the land of Afghanistan for terrorist activities through the lens of neoclassical realism.
