dc.description.abstract | I propose that emotional wellbeing is dependent upon the equilibrium between the positive and the negative effect of daily activities. Factors that offset this equilibrium in terms of the positive effect of such activities therefore have a negative effect on emotional wellbeing. Time Pressure is one such factor that has a negative relationship with emotional wellbeing. Moreover, workplace Stress positively mediates and strengthens the negative impact of Time Pressure on emotional wellbeing. Finally, Emotional Intelligence is the variable that positively moderates between workplace Stress and emotional wellbeing. In a survey questionnaire, a sample of the members of different industries in Islamabad (n=250) answered questions for our study about emotional wellbeing, workplace Stress, Time Pressure, and Emotional Intelligence. The data collected from the questionnaire was used in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and it supported four out of the five proposed hypotheses. | en_US |
