dc.description.abstract | E-learning has helped grow the academic sector tremendously. It has carved ways for students and teachers to interact with each other over electronic mediums effectively. Due to the current pandemic situation, in order to keep up with the SOP’s the governments around the world have opted for the online medium of education as a means to limit people's interaction. A drawback of online means of collaboration is that it’s difficult to engage children at home and to keep them interested in the subject being taught. Many applications have been developed to help students learn and understand English as it is considered a universal language however very few applications have been developed to learn and understand Urdu. Urdu being our national language there was a need to provide good interactive software applications for children to understand and learn it. Augmented reality (AR) is one of the rising technologies that provide us interaction with 3D content in a real environment. This provides users with additional information using virtual objects.AR helps individuals learn concepts using visual stimuli and animations. This forms the basis for our project, where we developed an E-learning augmented reality-based application for learning Urdu language basics.
