dc.description.abstract This thesis examines the impact of family business entrepreneurship on household efficiency through the many circle model developed by Gersick et al. (1997), the entrepreneurial orientation (EO) proposed by Covin and Slevin (1991), and the New Economic Policy (NEP) implemented by the Pakistani government between 1971 and 1990 as an intervention and affirmative policy aimed at ensuring the survival of Pakistani family businesses, particularly micro- and small-sized ones. This study uses a retrospective approach to review secondary-source literature that spans the period from British colonialism in the 18th century to the post-independence era, particularly during implementation of the NEP from 1971, in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of family business operations in Pakistan. A secondary-method research technique that combined quantitative research designs yielded more robust and dependable results was used to conduct two empirical investigations in the Financial and stoke exchange, Pakistan's capital city and the fastestgrowing economic sector. According to the study's conclusions, the state bank of Pakistan was founded in Islam, while the state Bank of China was rooted in Confucian ideals. It is true that the state bank's ethnic group had stronger bonds in terms of social capital networking than the other ethnic groups, which explained their dominance in various businesses since colonial times, but it is also true that the state bank's business success lasted beyond the critical first three years. The theoretical, methodological, and practical contributions of this work add to our understanding of these challenges; its limits are recognized, and ideas for further research are provided. en_US
