Abstract:
Over the past few years, global climate concerns have become a highlight all over the world. While our planet’s facing abrupt climatic changes, many organizations believe in making Green Human Resource Management an essential part of their organizational mission. It is because, with the effective implementation of Green HRM practices, the surging menace of climate changes can be drawn to an end. However, it is equally necessary that employees working within numerous organizations adopt the Green HRM practices. The purpose of this research paper is to explore the Green HRM practices which influence employee engagement in the manufacturing sector of Islamabad, Pakistan. Despite the manufacturing sector in Islamabad being booming and ingenious, it is currently witnessing many challenges due to various industrial revolutions. The primary aim of this research is 1) to determine and isolate the main Green HRM practices in the manufacturing sector, 2) to explore the correlation between Green HRM practices and employee engagement, and 3) to observe the moderating role of Individual Green Values on employee engagement. This study followed the quantitative research paradigm and survey researcher type. Data was collected from a sample of 250 participants from the manufacturing sector of Islamabad. The data was collected through a research questionnaire. The research questionnaire was self-administered and contained various questions related to the variable of the study. The questionnaire used in this study was based on the Likert scale. The data was analyzed on SPSS via different statistical tests. It was found that there is a strong relationship between GHRM, and employee engagement and it was suggested that other sectors should also consider this aspect.
