dc.description.abstract | In this project we try to figure the distance of the fault in an overhead transmission link from issue area to the base station utilizing Arduino. In this project, a brilliant innovation based deficiency discovery and area framework was utilized to sufficiently and precisely show and find the specific spot where issue had happened. This will guarantee a more limited reaction time for specialized team to amend these flaws and hence help save transformers and other electrical gear from harm and debacles. The faults are of three type: line to line, line to ground and line to line to ground. These faults lead to substantial damage to the power system equipment. In Pakistan, it is common, the faults might be LG (Line to Ground), LL (Line to Line), 3L (Three lines) in the supply systems and these faults in three phase supply system can affect the power system. To overcome this problem a system is built, which can sense these faults timely and this will help to avoid large scale damage to the power supply system. When, there is short out (Line to ground), the voltage across arrangement resistor change likewise, which is the fed to the inbuilt ADC of Arduino to create exact computerized information for show in meters. In this project the arrangement of resistor addressing ink length and issue is made by the arrangement of reasonable at each moment in meters, to check the exactness. The shortcoming is shown on Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) interfaced to Arduino. For overhead links (OC) flaw location, when the open circuit and short out shortcoming happen, our detecting gadget for example hand-off sense the blame and send data to the microcontroller. The microcontroller faculties that order and show on Liquid Crystal Display (LCD).
