dc.description.abstract | Agriculture sector of Pakistan is facing billions of losses due to Infestation of grain silos. It is only due to improper monitoring facilities available with our government. Normal monitoring equipment can only detect moisture, vegetative growth, soil quality measurements, etc., but when it comes to storage then there is no proper monitoring solution to optimize farming. We are using Radar to detect the insects roaming in the storage facilities. Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Radar is used to detect an object in motion and its range which a normal camera cannot visualize. We are using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging techniques to visualize the insects in motion. This algorithm is designed to enhance the visualization capability of Radar so it can be displayed on an LCD screen. The algorithm for SAR Imaging is implemented on a floating-point DSP embedded kit for faster image acquisition rather than using traditional Matlab tool. The results are displayed at a real time while radar is targeting the objects or insects in its range. | en_US |
