dc.description.abstract | Shopping at malls is becoming daily activity in various cities.Now a days we have seen people shopping there products in supermarket and shopping mall by using trolley.After shopping they have to wait for paying the total bill at the counter using the ordinary bar code scanner technique. From this much of the time is waste in waiting in long queues. In holidays and weekend we can see the huge rush at shopping mall. So it takes more time for billing the products. Hence there is a need for the new and fast system for shopping and billing that will equipped with new technology. To overcome this, we are developing a system called as light fidelity (Li-Fi) Based Smart Trolley using radio frequency identification (RFID).Which is basically a new technology.Whenever the customer puts a product into trolley, it will get scanned by RFID reader and product price and cost will be display on LCD placed on the trolly. Then it calculates the total amount of purchasing items that will stored in the memory of controller. Then sends the calculated bill through the Lifi transmitter attached to trolley. Then the data is transferred to the lifi receiver which is attached to the main computer placed on the counter. The main purpose of this project is to introduce an innovative system for shopping at the malls easily and also to save the precious time of people. Transmission of data is purely wirelessly. We used the LED driver circuit for the fast blinking of LED. Through this blinking of light we generate the data in the form of bits. These bits are received at the receiver of lifi through photo transistor. Lifi basically uses light for the transmission of data from the transmitter section, so we can use the present light of shopping malls for dual purpose i.e for lightning as well as the transmission of data. | en_US |
