dc.description.abstract Purpose: With the technological advancement, it is seen that the usage of social media is also increasing. Throughout the world social media is used being used by people, especially by youth. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the impact ofsocial media on mental health of youth. Methodology & Design: In this research, quantitative research methodology is used. Questionnaire are distributed to 315 participants among youngsters in Karachi, Pakistan. The data was analyzed by means of using SPSS via employing technique like descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis. Findings: From the findings it is evaluated that the social media exerted impact. Online harassment is considered to be the major issue which influence the mental health of youth. Similarly, poor self-esteem also damages the mental health of youth. Lack of sleep due to social media has insignificant impact. Implications: Overall, there is an impact ofsocial media on the mental health of youth. For the youth it is essential to reduce their social media usage for evading future negative consequences. en_US
