dc.description.abstract Generally the aim was to understand the tectonics and geology of the Sujawal block along with the interpretation procedure of migrated seismic sections and to check out the subsurface structures. As the area is an extensional regime so faults were marked according to their type and structure they are making. Formations were marked with the help of Well Dari-01. Interpretation was done on the migrated seismic lines ASP88-232, ASP88-230, ASP88-228, ASP88-251 and ASP88-249 of Sujawal block ,District Thatta, Sindh. This data was obtained from Land Mark Resources (LMKR) by the permission of Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC) Islamabad. The general dip direction in the project area of lines ASP88-232, ASP88-230, ASP88-228, is W -E and hence the lines ASP88-251, ASP88-249, oriented NW-SE are regarded as strike lines. The required information was in time domain which was helpful in the conversion of time into depth. These calculations helped in subsurface interpretation of the area, which was the basic purpose of this project. Two reflectors were marked named Top Near Lower Goru Formation and Top Near Chiltan Limestone. Time and depth contour maps were generated which helped us to know the basic mechanism of tectonic settings in the area. Furthermore various rock attributes were studied at Top Near Lower Goru Formation to get hold of the reservoir potential. en_US
