GREEN WAREHOUSING, LOGISTICS OPTIMIZATION, SOCIAL VALUES AND ETHICS AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE: THE ROLE OF SUPPLY CHAIN SUSTAINABILITY

Abstract

Purpose This study primarily explores the influence ofgreen warehousing, logistics optimization, social values and ethics and economic performance in the role of supply chain sustainability. The examination further shows the interceding function of supply chain sustainability between economic performance and green warehousing, logistics optimization and social values and ethics. Methodology & Design This study that is conducted structured survey was directed with the help of email and electronic survey form to study the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. This study is quantitative in the nature in which the experiential results are calculated the sample of 289 from small and medium-sized enterprise from Karachi to find out the clear opinion from the data collection will be complete through the questionnaire. The study used the regression analysis to find out the impact ofthe dependent and independent variables. Findings This paper findings shows the positive relationship between the green warehousing and logistics optimization has a positive impact on economic performance yet improves economic performance through supply chain sustainability. It is additionally found that social values and ethics have a positive influence on supply chain sustainability and economic performance. Limitations The main limitation ofthis research is that in our country the manufacturing industries are very disseminated therefore, collecting data from them was very difficult. Another limitation is that we were conducting research during the COVID-19 pandemic situation due to which data collection and execution ofthe research was very challenging. Recommendations: . . The study suggested that green warehousing sustainability is very important to the environment and it’s also impact on economic performance. Further this study also suggests focusing on other manufacturing sectors of green warehousing sustainability in Pakistan because of the limitation of current research due to the pandemic situation ofCOVID-19.
