Abstract:
Purpose
The purpose for this study explained that there are various features ofsupply chain flexibility
studied before but the study that is influencing supplier flexibility also its effect on supplier
performance is evidently absent. The purpose ofthe present study is to remove the hole in the
literature.
Methodology & Design
The study that is conducted for this study is quantitative in the nature in which the empirical
results are calculated to find out the clear opinion from the data collection through the
questionnaire. The study used the mediation analysis to find out the impact ofthe dependent
and independent variables. Data were collected from the manufacturing sectors operating in
Pakistan.
Findings
The finding of the study indicates that effective connection lies linking supplier flexibility
with environmental uncertainties while buyer supplier relation, information sharing, quality
information and supplier flexibility do not have a positive relationship. On the other hand,
supplier flexibility has an impact on supplier performance.
Limitations
To generalize the findings of this study can be considered as limitation because this study
was done in Pakistan in the time of covid-19. Also, this study can be done in larger scale also
results can be assessed. Recommendations
The results ofthe study can assist decision makers in making further updated decisions about
environmental uncertainty questions depending upon the flexibility which they want from
their suppliers and information sharing, quality information and buyer supplier relation can
be improved.
Sharing information about the future needs in demand, the existing technology and use of
products can help enhance the trust level between the supplier and buyer.
Organizations should Share accurate, timely, complete, and reliable information helps
suppliers to boost their ability to act according to the dynamic market conditions by reducing
the effects of unpredictable changes.
Organization should adapt Practices like coordination with the suppliers and Shared vision
should be clear enough to develop the relationship with the supplier.
