| dc.description.abstract | Purpose The purpose of this research is to study and identify the relationship between underlying variables of green supply chain management on a firm’s performance. However, the sector chosen to conduct this study is the textile industry of Pakistan. Since the textile industry in Pakistan holds great impact on market and economic share, a true study of green supply chain practices can help save the environment in an effective manner. Methodology and Design The methodology being used in this research is that of quantitative analyses. For this purpose, a questionnaire is filled out by individuals belonging to variant supply units of companies in the textile industry. This research has been designed in a manner that aims to interpolate the data collected through SPSS using Cron bach Alpha and Regression analysis, for a comparative and easier approach. The data is collected from senior to junior level staff with academic qualifications from non-tech to the tech sector in the textile industry. A population of 12000 individuals are given the questionnaire and the sample size for this research comes out as 200 responses. Findings As per this research, it is found that there is a true set of data being used in the case of independent and dependent variables. It is further checked with the help of the reliability test Cronbach Alpha for each set ofindependent variables. Also, the significance p-value shows that all independent variables are in a linear relationship with a firm’s performance except natural dyes where the hypothesis is rejected. It is not in direct relationship with a firm’s performance in the textile industry ofPakistan. Recommendations This research proves that green supply chain management implementation, especially in the case of the textile industry of Pakistan. All in all, there is a positive impact of green supply chain management on the independent variables chosen in this research. It is recommended to strategize commercialization of green supply chain management in SMEs interrelated with these textile industries for effective conservation ofthe environment. Also, awareness and training should be given in future for better understanding of green supply chain management concepts and commercialization. | en_US |
