Abstract:
This study aims to assess the role of digitizing supply chain logistics and its role in improving corporate performance in industrial sector of Pakistan. This study has used digitized activities/use of technology and Internet of Things (representing digitizing supply chain logistics) as independent variables. However, corporate performance is used as dependent variable. Meanwhile, SMEs and and mainly the manufacturing industrial sector of Pakistan is the sector finalized for assessing the relationship between digitizing supply chain logistics and industrial sector of Pakistan. To investigate the relationship, quantitative research method is used. Primary data is collected with the help of adopted designed questionnaire based on 5 Likert scale (1=Strongly Disagree and 5=Strongly Agree). Questionnaires are distributed amongst the employees working for SMEs of Pakistan and overall 250 responses are gathered from the respondents through convenience sampling technique. Data collected from the respondents were analyzed with the help of various statistical tests (such as correlation and regression analysis) through SPSS Software. Based on the findings, digitizing supply chain logistics (digitized activities/use of technology and Internet of Things) positively affects corporate performance in industrial sector of Pakistan. Conclusively, findings of this study prove that increase in digitizing supply chain logistics (digitized activities/use of technology and Internet of Things) bring a definite increase in corporate performance in industrial sector of Pakistan.
