The impact of Level and Quality of Information Sharing on Organizational Performance in Telecom Industry of Pakistan Supply Chain: The Mediating Role of Trust

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between Level of Information Sharing, Quality of Information Sharing, Trust and Organizational Performance in Telecom Industry of Pakistan. This study has considered Level of Information Sharing and Quality of Information Sharing as independent variables, Trust as mediating vari able, and Organizational Performance as dependent variable. However, Telecom Industry in Pakistan has been the sector chosen to investigate the relationship between variables mentioned above. Quantitative research method was used as primary data was collected through adoptive structured questionnaire based on 5 Likert scale. The responses were recorded from 39 respondents (Supply Chain Professional associated with Telecom Industry of Pakistan) through convenience sampling technique. Responses recorded were analyzed through statistical tests such as correlation, regression and mediation by using SPSS Software. The results indicate that Level of Information Sharing and Quality of Information Sharing positively effects Organizational Performance in Telecom Industry of Pakistan. However, mediation analysis has revealed that Trust significantly mediates the relationship Level of Information Sharing and Quality of Information Sharing (independent variables) and Organizational Performance (dependent variable) in Telecom Industry of Pakistan.
