dc.description.abstract The idea of convergence of the study was led to decide the impact of inventory management practices of Apparel Industry of Twin Cities. Adequacy of inventory management is an essential part in each organization to be more serious. The past studies have shown that there are a few elements impacting the adequacy of inventory management in the organization however there is absence of researchers who did the research in apparel industry. Along these lines, the motivation behind this research is to recognize the issue of inventory management looked by the apparel industry of twin cities and furthermore to decide the elements that will impact the viability of inventory management. This study pointed toward inspecting the part of inventory management practices in the performance of the production department. The study tried to discover the inventory management procedures utilized, set up the degree of adequacy of inventory management practices. It additionally decided the degree of performance of production departments. Lastly, decided if mechanized inventory management impacts the supply chain performance of the organization. To further investigate the study and accurately analyse the result, three hypothesis were formulated. A descriptive research design was employed where the population was of 250 with the sample size comprised of a total of 152 respondents selected from Krejeie and Morgan’s (1970) table. Convenience sampling technique is utilized in this study. In convenient sampling, sample is taken from a group of people convenient to reach out or contact. Data collection has been done by the researcher through distributing structured questionnaire amongst respondents (employees), questionnaires were administered through a ‘drop-and-pick’ method to the respondents at their different firms and also via ‘Google Docs’. The study applied the use of quantitative data which was analysed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). Inferential statistics using hierarchical multiple regression and Correlation analysis was applied to test the relationship between the variables and formulated hypothesis. The final analysed results were presented using tables, graphs and charts. The study concludes that inventory management possess the potential of positively influencing supply chain performance of apparel industry of twin cities. en_US
