Abstract:
Purpose
Studies in the area ofsustainable supply chain management suggests that there exists a direct
relationship between sustainable supply chain performance and competitiveness, financial,
and operational performance of a firm (Keating et al., 2008). Hence, the purpose ofthis paper
is to integrate the “triple bottom line (3BL)” approach in the supplier selection decision.
Supply chain and the ‘Triple bottom line’ Businesses today understand the importance of
preserving the environment and social responsibilities of a firm. However, to achieve higher
performance on sustainability, greater efforts are required to transform the whole supply
chain thereby leading to sustained competitive advantage in the marketplace (Beske and
Seuring, 2014). Studies in the area of sustainable supply chain management suggests that

Methodology & Design
Research tool was Survey questionnaire to collect the data from 94 respondents
from Karachi that work in firms ranged from small to large size. The data that was
collected was analyzed through factor analysis and linear regression.
Findings
The results show that the respondents are willing to follow a complete selection
process even in the congested economic condition. This could bring some
changes in upcoming coiporate world.
Limitations
The first limitation that was faced was the sample siza selected in the study for the collection
is data. Second limitation is the time duration provided to complete this research.
