Impact of Supplier Performance on Employee Motivation and Employee Performance: A Project on Usmania Restaurant

Abstract

Suppler performance plays a key role in ensuring employee satisfaction across the value chain. This project is intended to study employee performance and motivation impacted by supplier performance. This study has chosen Usmania Restaurant and for examining the impact of supplier performance on employee performance and motivation. Usmania restaurant has 17 branches all over Pakistan but we focused on only Islamabad branch. To test the hypotheses, data was collected from the employees of Usmania which included both upper and middle level managers and operational employees. Primary data collection was done from 49 employees by visiting the Islamabad branch of the restaurant. Quantitative analysis of the primary data showed the significant impact of supplier performance on employees’ performance and employee motivation. The study focuses on synchronizing the supplier management with general management by investigating the relationship between supplier performance and employee performance. Research implications and recommendations are also discussed, with suggestions of future research.
