Impact of Self-Control and Investor Proactive Behavior in Investment Decision Making

Abstract

The paper aims to investigate the relation among self-control, investor proactive behaviour and investment decision-making. The significant influence of self-control and investor proactive behaviour on the investment decision-making would justify the investors and firms with ability of decision-ability. In retrospect of the literature, self-control come into sight as a striking factor to pop up in investor’s mind and increase the inhibitory control, eventually affecting investment decision-making. The data is collected from 270 respondents out of 350 from the native that are residing in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, upon which descriptive form of research is conducted along with no-probability technique of sampling. These two factors regulate the intentions of investors towards actual decision. The paper seeks to explicate and contextualize the said variables to assist investors with self-control and proactive behaviour to take decision. Results drawn from the study presents that these factors and idea to be the most effective in the current scenario. The paper suggests that investors should invest in the with full strengths of the self-control and proactive behaviour ability as it diverts the purpose. This literature has used SPSS v 23.0 for our analysis as this is one of the most recommended software by many scholars when it comes to carrying out quantitative research
