Abstract:
This study is undertaken for investigating the influence of Small and medium enterprises on the employment generation in the perspective of Pakistan. It also inspects the influence of small and medium enterprises over the economic development of Pakistan. Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) is acknowledged worldwide as a process for authorizing the citizenry and economic growth. In Pakistan many administrations have implemented policies to increase job opportunities, diminish poverty and hasten economic development by growing International investments, expanding the economy, implementing strategies which supports small venture proprietorship and entrepreneurship projects. Precisely, this research inclines to symbol out: how SMEs play their part to employment generation, either a substantial number of public is employed within the SME area or not; either the SMEs increase the income level of people or not. The sanitary ware industry was selected for this study and total 104 participants were indiscriminately selected and were given questionnaire. All the responses were collected and examined through Statistical package of Social Sciences (SPSS). The study shows that there is a strong positive relation between Small and Medium enterprises and employment generation. This study also suggested that there is a positive relation between small and medium enterprises (SME) and income level of their employees.
