Abstract:
This study investigates the relationship between supply chain management practices, total quality management and organizational performance in textile sector of Pakistan. This study has considered information sharing, outsourcing, customer relationship management and supplier relationship management (representing supply chain management practices) as independent variables, total quality management as moderating variable, and organizational performance as dependent variable. However, textile sector of Pakistan has been the sector chosen to investigate the relationship between variables mentioned above. Quantitative research method was used as primary data was collected through adoptive structured questionnaire based on 5 Likert scale. The responses were recorded from 250 respondents (supply chain members) associated with textile sector of Pakistan through convenience sampling technique. Responses recorded were analyzed through statistical tests such as correlation, regression and moderation by using SPSS Software. The results indicate that information sharing, outsourcing, customer relationship management and supplier relationship management positively impacts organizational performance in textile sector of Pakistan. However, moderation analysis has revealed that total quality management significantly moderates the relationship between supply chain management practices (information sharing, outsourcing, customer relationship management and supplier relationship management), total quality management and organizational performance in textile sector of Pakistan.
