dc.description.abstract he adaptation of conventional homes into “smart homes” has seen an incredible rise in recent years. Peoples want to shift toward solar systems to reduce their monthly electric bills. However, the solar power produced by the solar panels does not utilized more efficiently, that is why the reduction in the monthly electric bills is not reduced as expected. Mostly the system that is used to reduce electric bills is by using the on-grid solar system but that is not common and it is costly. Our goal is to build a system that utilizes maximum solar by telling the user about their solar power generation and power consumption along with this it allows the user to control loads through a mobile application. Our smart plug is able to deliver sufficient energy consumption records for the placement of structures to accomplish electricity consumption. The smart plug can measure the energy consumption information and send those data to the main system and mobile application, tell the user solar power produced and power consumed. If the solar is producing more power than it consumed by loads, then it informed to the user through a mobile application to use some of the loads at that time. If solar is producing less power and loads are, consuming more than it notifies the user through a mobile application to cut off some extra loads. This project is to introduce a home energy management system through a smart plug that is designed and implemented in both hardware and software. en_US
