Relationship Quality in Supply Chain Management and Its Impact on Performance of Organization in Pakistan

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effect of supply chain management dimensions on organizational performance in pharmaceutical industry of Pakistan. This study has used cooperation between supply chain, communication between supply chain, dependence between supply chain and trust between supply chain (representing supply chain management dimensions) as independent variables and organizational performance as dependent variable. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical industry of Pakistan is the sector finalized for assessing the relationship between supply chain management dimensions and organizational performance. To investigate the relationship, quantitative research method is used. Primary data is collected with the help of adopted structured questionnaire based on 5 Likert scale (1 =Strongly Disagree and 5=Strongly Agree). Questionnaires were distributed amongst the supply chain members associated with pharmaceutical industry of Pakistan and 250 responses were gathered from the respondents through convenience sampling technique. Data collected from the respondents were analyzed with the help of various statistical tests (such as reliability, descriptive frequencies and statistics, correlation and regression analysis) through SPSS Software (SPSS 21). Based on the findings of regression analysis, supply chain management dimensions (cooperation between supply chain, communication between supply chain, dependence between supply chain and trust between supply chain) positively effects organizational performance.
