| dc.description.abstract | As the number of patients increasing more rapidly as compare to recruitment of nurses, it increases the workload of nurses and makes nurses less productive. Nurses spent plenty of time in the ward while distributing pills to each bed. To reduce that part of nurse's job, a fully automated smart robot is designed that distribute medicines across the hospital ward. To store medicines, we have designed three step opening autonomous drawers. For secure and authentic refilling of these drawers, keypad login system is integrated with stepper motors that enable only authentic person to login and refill the drawers. Microcontroller sends instructions to drive motors to start the operation after fixed hours. To make our robot move in a hospital ward without collisions, ultrasonic sensors are integrated with microcontroller. When it reaches at patient's bed, drawers come out automatically and instructions regarding medicines will be displayed on LCD for patients. If a patient feel uncomfortable it can call nurse, doctor, and medicine supplier by pressing push buttons on robot's body. By pressing these buttons, microcontroller will send emergency message on hospital staffs mobile application. Our robot increases the productivity of nurses by saving their time and helps them in managing flow of patients. | en_US |
