Abstract:
This study has aimed of investigating the impact of work stress on employee creativity with mediating effect of emotional intelligence in software companies of Pakistan. This study has considered work stress as an independent variable, emotional intelligence as a mediating variable, and employee creativity as a dependent variable. Software companies of Pakistan has been the sector chosen for testing the relationship between variables of this study mentioned above. Structured questionnaire based on 5 Likert scale has been the research instrument used within this study for collection of data from respondents (employees working in software companies of Pakistan). A sample size of 250 respondents to represent the entire population has been finalized. Questionnaires were distributed amongst employees working in software companies of Pakistan to gather the data. Collected data has then been analyzed through statistical instruments such as correlation and regression by using SPSS Software. Based on the findings, it has been concluded that there exists a significant relationship between work stress (independent variable), emotional intelligence (mediating variable), and employee creativity (dependent variable) in software companies of Pakistan
