dc.description.abstract Organizations can create a competitive advantage through the way they design their human resource systems. Employee motivation, high involvement work systems are considered to be a way to increase organizational performance and decrease employee turnover. The study aims to analyze the reasons of employee turnover at IT sector and further aims to suggest strategies that could help reducing it. Key emphasis will be given in determining the factors that lead to employee turnover. This research has been done by reviewing existing literature and getting relevant information from current 246 employees working at different levels in IT sector of Islamabad as respondents of the study. This study suggested to IT sector of Pakistan that there is a need to encourage employees or to increase the motivational level of employees to get the maximum output or the desirable performance for the organization. This study enables the researchers, academicians and policy makers to understand the influence of employee motivation on turnover of employees. This study helps to analyze factors for turnover of employees and provides the suggestions to reduce the turnover of employees by increase in motivation and empowerment of employees in IT sector of Islamabad. It is concluded that employee motivation and empowerment, organizational commitment and participatory management have a significant impact on employee turnover intensions in IT sector of Pakistan. en_US
