dc.description.abstract The knowledge of internet including the many services it offers through various platforms has become an immensely important part of life and its aspects like in connection and communication. Social Media is not a new word to the majority of people especially the young generation. The rise of Social media began with the invention of internet and then there was no going back. The present study was designed to examine the relationship between SMA, narcissism and EI among university students. Data was collected through a survey method by the process of convenient sampling. 395 participants out of which 277 were female and 118 were males, with the age range of 18-26 years was taken from different universities. The scales that were used for this purpose were SMA Scale-student form (SMAS-SF), Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI-16), and Wong and Law EI Scale (WLEIS). It was hypothesized that there would be a significant relationship between SMA, narcissism and EI among university students. Results indicated that there is a negative correlation between SMA and EI. Moreover, narcissism and EI are positively correlated. Limitations and recommendations for future are also discussed. en_US
