dc.description.abstract The COVID-19 epidemic and following lockdowns have altered the world and people's working modes. Many sectors, including software, have been compelled to adopt remote working. Organizations needed to speed up something they knew would happen in the future, but not immediately or in such a massive way. They must seek e-leadership problems and opportunities. Employees were also affected by digital isolation during the epidemic in a variety of ways. Employees face significant difficulty in surviving and thriving in this dynamic working environment. In a country like Pakistan, where the digital divide acts as a mediator, it's critical to assess and comprehend how a typical working day looks when working from home and what competencies are essential for e-leaders' well-being and productivity and how autonomous work of an employee minimize the effect of e-leadership. We conducted cross-sectional research with around 200 employees picked from the software houses in Islamabad. During the epidemic, this study adds to the body of knowledge. The primary goal of this research is to investigate the issues and competencies required for e-leadership to address these challenges during WFH while taking into account the impediment of the digital divide en_US
