| dc.description.abstract | product-moment correlation, multiple regression, t-test, One way ANOVA and Post Hoc Tukey were used to analyze and interpret research data. Results: Results indicate that distress was positively correlated with active avoidance coping and denial coping. Hope was negatively correlated with active avoidance coping and there was significant positive correlation between hope and problem focused coping , positive coping and religious coping strategies. There was significant negative relationship of hope with active avoidance coping and significant positive relationship of hope with problem focused coping. There was significant positive relationship of distress with active avoidance coping. There was a significant Gender difference on Psychological distress [t =3.51, p=.00]. There was a significant family structure difference on Psychological distress [t=2.03, p= .04]. There was a significant relationship with patient groups difference on subscale of coping strategies i.e. active avoidance coping [F= 3.97, p=.01]. Finally, limitations of current study and recommendations for future study have also been suggested. | en_US |
