| dc.description.abstract | Meeting Short term success is a success of project management but not the overall success. However to achieve overall success Short term and Long term success has to be together in one bowl. The planning is the key to enhance the probability of success. The research aimed to investigate the role of planning to achieve success (short term and long term success) and to see that how does Benefit realization management affect the relationship between project success and project planning. To investigate this research carried out quantitative analysis from 215 respondents in telecommunication sector. The organizations involved in this investigation were Ufone, PTCL, Telenor and Zong. The analysis showed that in these telecommunication organizations planning is a critical success factor for both short term and long term success but long term success can be enhanced through practicing benefit realization management. However short term success is not been moderated by benefit realization management which is due to that benefit realization management has a main focus on achieving long term success. So this research resolved the perplexity for enhancing the chances of achieving long term success with planning which is practicing Benefit realization management. Hence on one side benefit realization enhance the chances of achieving long term success but on the other hand it has been seen that Benefit realization cannot effect short term success significantly. | en_US |
