dc.description.abstract | In this research the researcher is trying to find the relationship between human resource practices (HRP) and project success, to be more specific the researcher is selecting three human resource practices and to find out their effects on the project success. These HR practices are training and development (TD), design of work (DW) and compensation system (CS). In this study the human resource practices are selected as independent variables and the project success (PS) as a dependent variable, to build a direct hypothesis for the previously mentioned relationship in the paper. This paper focuses on finding the effect of Training and Development, Design of Work and Compensation System on Project Success. For the analysis on this area of the research, we have developed a theoretical framework which explains the relationship between the variables, the independent variables that we have taken into consideration under the construction projects are Training and Development, Design of Work and Compensation System, and the study highlights and explains their effect on one dependent variable i.e. Project Success. In probability sampling, random sampling technique was used. A sample size of two hundred was determined by setting ten respondents for the total nineteen items which resulted in one ninety and was rounded to two hundred. On the basis of the framework, the data was collected using questionnaires and then it was carefully examined and processed through SPSS. The results of the study explain that there is a very strong effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable and the project managers of the construction should work and invest on the human resource practices like training and development, design of work and compensation system in order to maximize the success rate of the projects. There are limitations to the research, limitations like availability of resources and others which have been mentioned at the end of the research and there are also recommendations and directions given regarding the future research on the basis of findings and the conclusions to the study | en_US |
