Abstract:
The word "gender" has gain immense importance in the recent years after a lot of researches and awareness and became the focal point for many developmental projects either governmental or non-governmental. All these kind of projects consistently implements and involve in developmental component in one way or the other. Today it is necessary for either governmental or non-governmental organization to be competitive around the world and to retain that success over time by highlighting such important issues. External environmental factors, along with its impact on gender related project implementation is one of the most important model that links why gender related projects became successful or not or why patriarchy still exist in Pakistan. The noteworthy scarcity of literature in this area off study attracted attention for further study and research. As External EEF's, such as culture, religion and legal systems or restrictions have a strong connection in success or failure in projects implementation established above. The study seeks to find the pressure these factors exert on gender development related projects implementation. The gender development and women development in specific, is in a major contradiction with the patriarchal system of Pakistan because women development requires major modifications in the existing system which also tends to be a major challenge to an already well-established patriarchal system. This research study targets almost 211 sample of NGO's using convenience sampling from around Pakistan. The data is run and analyzed via SPSS and regression is used to test hypothesis and to draw a conclusion about it. The NGO's are targeted for data collection related to this study, while due to pandemic situation around the world there is a lot of constraints that a study may faces. The data is collected via self-administrated questionnaire and online Google forms while the response rate is almost 80%. The items selected and adopted for the questionnaire revolve around the variables i.e. External Environmental Factors (Culture Influence, Religious Influence and Legal Influence), along with the moderator Organization Knowledge Base (OKB's) and dependent variable Gender Development related Project's Implementation. The articles and literature is also searched with the keywords related to these terms. All the hypothesis that is developed, among them only four are accepted and rest two is rejected and the study signifies the positive role of moderator in relationship between dependent and independent variable. The conclusion and the results of this research study lends support to non-governmental organizations in understanding the issue raised and implement the project related to gender development, and explicitly to alter all the fences that are amenable and will affect the organizations in long run.
