Effects of Integration Management On Project Performance in Construction Industry: Moderating Role of Effective Communication

Abstract

Integration management is one of the important aspects of project management. Integration management is recognized as an important factor playing a vital role in influencing project performance. Firms are focusing on improving their integration management to have improved project performance. Effective communication is another important aspect without which improved integration management and project performance is not possible. This research study primarily focused on investigating the relationship between integration management, effective communication, and project performance. This study finalized construction industry of Pakistan for testing the relationship between integration management, effective communication, and project performance. This study used adaptive structured questionnaire based on 5 Likert scale for data collection. Responses were collected from 178 respondents (project managers, project supervisors, and project directors) of construction industry of Pakistan through convenience sampling technique. The results indicate that integration management positively impacts project performance in construction industry of Pakistan. Similarly, effective communication positively moderates the relationship between integration management and project performance in construction industry of Pakistan.
