| dc.description.abstract | Project management approaches are evolving to be more flexible and adaptive to meet the challenges associated with an increasingly complex and dynamic environment. However, potential changes underpinning logic supporting project decision making have scarcely been considered. The aim of this study is to examine the effectual decision making relationship with business case implementation, risk-taking behavior and leadership skills in construction industry of Islamabad, Pakistan. The data are collected through the dissemination of the questionnaires in the targeted construction firms and sites. A comparative analysis of these data is undertaken. The results show that the business case and leadership skills have an impact on effectual decision making while risk taking behavior has no impact on it. Effectual logic is newly introduced in construction industry but it is adopting rapidly and seems that with the passage of time effectuation approach will replace the traditional approaches. | en_US |
