Impact Assessment of Project Manger's Role on Internal and External Relationship Management

Abstract

This study has focused on investigating the impact of project manager's roles on internal and external relationship management. This study has been considered inter organizational communication and trust, intra organizational communication and trust, team building and cohesion, leadership and motivation, triple constraint management, and project documentation management independent variables. Whereas, internal relationship management and external relationship management have been considered as dependent variables. To test the relationship between variables mentioned above, construction industry of Pakistan has been chosen. To prove the relationship between variables of this study, a survey has been conducted through a structured questionnaire regarding this literature, in which project managers, project supervisors, and project directors, working in construction industry of Pakistan have been requested to share their experiences by filling the questionnaires. Then, to identify the results on data gathered from the respondents, statistical instruments have been used. Some of the statistical instruments used in this study include descriptive frequencies, reliability, correlation, regression, etc. Results derived through statistical instruments have shown that there exists a significant relationship between inter organizational communication and trust, intra organizational communication and trust, team building and cohesion, leadership and motivation, triple constraint management, and project documentation management (independent variables), and internal relationship management and external relationship management (dependent variables) in construction industry of Pakistan.
